What To Do If Your Company Won't Let You Promote Online (By Daegan Smith)

What To Do If Your Company Won't Let
You Promote Online (By Daegan Smith)

I just got a great question in from
Shannon Hanaway, that I think you may be
interested in the answer to:

"I've just been advised that my MLM
company won't allow any website- outside
their provided template-that customers
can link back to for product information
and enrollment.

These are my products.

Am I dead in the water or do I just get
really creative?"

My Response:

Shannon,

Fantastic questions and by no means are
you dead in the water. You just have to
think a little bit differently about how
you introduce people to your
opportunity.

In all honesty, just sending people to
your companies website to learn about
your product line isn't going to win you
many sales anyway, so it's really more
of an non issue than you may think.

I've said it before and I'll say it
again. People don't join opportunities,
they join people.

Therefore nothing that you do on the
front end of your business even needs to
ever mention your company. Let me
explain . . .

Your best prospects will always be the
doers like you. The people striving for
success.

What do doers look for?

Information and guidance.

This is all your business on the front
end should provide. People will join you
because they "know" and you've proven
you can help them, not because your moon
juice is cooler than the next companies.

So on the front end, do what I do.

Create your own newsletter. Your own
lead capture page. Communicate daily.

If you get adventurous create a front
end product that solves on of your
prospects major concerns.

1. Getting more leads 2. Making more
money 3. Recruiting without rejection

Allow them to purchase it from you and
then . . .

Once all your marketing costs are paid
for by your profits, on the back-end
give you your customers a call.

Ask how you can be of further service,
naturally they'll be inquisitive as to
what else you're up to.

There, right there, is the time you
bring up your back end company.

You may say, but "Daegan I can't create
a product."

I have two answers for you.

Yes you can and you don't even need a
product to recruit online. It just makes
it easier.

Even if you were just to create your own
list online. Share stories and marketing
strategies daily, and as a call to
action at the end of your message you
said something like:

"If you'd like some personal help give
me a call between 4pm and 8pm tonight at
XXX-XXXX I'll be in the office to help"

You'll have people ringing your phone
off the hook all day and night. Trust me
on that one.

See how we never even bring up our
company online following this
methodology? Well, that's exactly why
you're in no way shape or form dead in
the water.

If you'd like to learn how to either
generate a boat load of leads, create
your first front end product, or create
a daily flow of profits, there is no
better place to learn these skills than
as a part of our family.

Watch this short presentation to learn
how to make that happen:

Successful Multilevel Marketers Know How to Inspire Their Downline .

http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Joseph_Levesque
EzineArticles.com
Joseph Levesque has been an expert author on EzineArticles.com since April 16, 2010 and has 1 published article.

That question "what else?" leads to you creating an irresistible offer, Part 2.

To turn any regular offer into a super
powered offer that your prospects would
be insane to refuse, and ...

That, that was only half of the
equation.

Part #2, we cover now.

Today's lesson will be unique in that
it's not something that you can learn
"out there" online.

The truth is, the second of the
"ultimate conversion" equation I'm
giving you for zilch right now I had to
learn somewhere you'd never think to
look.

Where?

On TV.

That's right, I'll admit it, there are
few TV shows that I became completely
obsessed with.

Shows like "24", "Hero's", and "Lost".

Whenever I watch one episode, it's over.

Off to Best Buy I go to purchase the
entire season, and then ...

For two days straight you'd find me
completely unavailable. Absorbed in
these series.

Maybe you've done the same thing?

In what I just described is true power.

Why?

Why do I and so many others get SO
wrapped up in these series?

You won't find the answer in any
marketing book, but you will if you
study "The Art Of Story Telling"

A powerful story pulls in your audience
like nothing else.

One thing to make an irresistible offer
to a person, but a totally different and
more powerful thing is it to suck that
person in with a spell binding story,
and THEN make them an irresistible
offer.

So how do you use the power of story to
https://daegansmith.infusionsoft.com/go/rlc/Jpgroup pull your prospects in ?

The first thing that you do is you pull
them directly into your plot.

You create a situation where your "hero"
must take action or face a dire
situation?

In the "Recruit Like Crazy" video
presentation where do I start?

Right when I'm about to step on stage in
front of a huge audience.

Most people are scared of speaking in
front of audiences ,so when I describe
that I'm feeling nervous it's easy for
my viewer to understand why.

Then naturally the question gets asked
inside of the prospects mind "Why is
this guy about to step on stage?"

And it's right there, that I've already
got them sucked in.

As soon as that first question pops into
their mind about the plot that's about
to unfold it's game over.

They've got to see what happens next.

Now here's the sneaking thing that I do
that pulls them in even further ...

Before I share what happened as I
stepped onto that stage I pull back.

I move the plot in a different
direction, and naturally ...

The viewer wants to know:

"What happened? Did he get booed off
stage? Did he pull it off?"

And that question keeps them sucked in
until I resolve it by playing out the
plot much later.

I don't have time to go into the entire
process, but I'll share with you how you
can learn the entire formula I use so
that you can model it yourself later.
For now ...

Let me give you a couple of tips.

Tip #1:

Start at a place of high drama.

A situation that in order to be resolved
requires your "hero" to take action in
one direction or another. If they don't
they face dire consequences.

Tip #2:

Don't tell your audience your emotions.

Show them.

So, it's passive to say "I was scared"

The audience can't feel what you felt if
you describe your emotions that way.

Instead show them, and there's a three
step process for doing that.

First, start with the physical aspects
of the emotions.

If I say ...

"My breath grew short. I could feel
sweat starting to bead on my brow. My
hands started to shake."

Now I'm bringing them into the feeling.

Next, move to the internal thoughts and
share those.

"Could this really be happening to me
right now? No not yet ... I'm not
ready!"

See how that creates a feeling of high
tension when added to the physical
manifestations?

Finally share what's happening that's
causing all this internal turmoil, like
...

There I stood forced out on to the stage
in front of thousands.

Now ...

They can feel what you feel.

You dig?

Tip #3:

Most people sell a product or a
solution, but the first sell you should
direct your prospects to is the
acceptance of a concept.

If you do that, then the sale of the
product that brings results from
leveraging that concept is a cinch.

So, instead of selling through your
story "Why someone should join your
team"

Use a story to persuade your audience
into the belief that working in the
right team is the fastest way for them
to succeed.

Do you see how that's different?

If you get them to "see" or have the
"epiphany" that teamwork is the most
powerful force known to man first,
then ...

When you share with them your
irresistible offer based on that team
concept (so all the work we did
yesterday) it's a slam dunk.

Tip #4:

When persuading your audience to a core
concept try to make that concept and how
your solution addresses it be unique to
the marketplace.

That way, no matter what, you're the
only game in town.

Now I've got a whole formula for using
the power of story to super charge your
ability to persuade and sell, but ...

As you can see there's more here than
meets the eye.

That question "what else?" leads to you creating an irresistible offer !

If you ask yourself that question BEFORE
you present your prospects with anything
you will end up presenting them with
something they can't resist.

That question "what else?" leads to you
creating an irresistible offer, but ...

What most people "think" when they hear
terms like irresistible offer is that
if they just throw a ton of stuff at
their prospect their offering is
automatically going to convert more,
which is ...

WRONG!

To make your offers absolutely
irresistible, you've got to take that
concept one step further and think in
terms of ...

"What else would this prospect, at the
point they're in in their business right
now, want and need to create success for
themselves in the fastest time with the
least effort"

See how that's different?

It's not just more stuff.

It's more of the precise things your
prospect needs.

So ...

Let's say you have your own hamburger
stand and right across the street from
your hamburger stand is a competitors
hamburger stand.

They get more business than you.

You decide to apply this little question
"What else?" to boost your business.

What would offer?

Well, maybe, since you know your
prospects are hungry you could offer
them a free side of fries, or ...

You could offer them a coupon for half
off their next burger.

Or ...

Maybe you could make it a double
cheeseburger for no additional charge.

What if you throw in, not just a soda,
but a SUPER SIZED soda for free.

And we could go on, but the point is ...

We did this little exercise to see what
else we could add to our initial
offering that would make it absolutely
irresistible.

If you add just one of the things listed
above, sure it's better, but ...

What if you added them all?

Now all of a sudden the guy across the
way is selling a burger and you're
selling everything your prospect would
have dreamed of with that burger for the
same price.

If you're driving by those two burger
stands, which would you go to now?

EXACTLY.

The great thing about applying this
little principle to your business,
especially online is ...

Nothing you add has a physical cost
attached to it.

It all comes down to how creative you
can be, and how much deeper you can
think about what your prospect needs
right now than the next guy.

The person who does that wins.

Here's how I used to recruit, so you can
how this works in a home business
setting.

Remember yesterday, our friend "Mr. X"
basically said - "Join my business."

Which ain't all that persuasive.

Now compare that to this ...

When I recruited I knew that my
prospects needed more than just a spot
under me.

They needed to be trained, and even
further they would need their downline
to be trained.

So what I did was I created a team
marketing guide, and I even gave it to
my prospects BEFORE they joined.

Now they could see what they would be
doing before they were even on the team.

And I would always make sure to
mention ...

"This team guide I'm giving you is the
exact same team training guide you'll be
giving your recruits, so that,
effectively, you won't have to teach them
a thing. Our team has that covered for
you."

Result - pressure removed + I'm taking
care of them before they join, so they
think ...

"This guy has it all figured out,
it might be a good idea to work with
him."

Not sold or recruited yet, but now open
to the possibility.

"What else?"

Well, I knew they would need a source of
leads that they could contact while they
were getting up to speed so they could
start seeing results immediately.

So, I created and ran a monthly team
co-op.

I'd say ...

"Joe, as soon as you join, while
you're training with me you can jump
into our team marketing co-op. That way
you'll have quality prospect to interact
with immediately, and when they join
they'll be able to do the same thing."

Now ...

My prospect is thinking ...

"Wow. That solves two huge problems,
and it's great because I will be able
to offer my prospects a spot in that
team co-op as well. They'll be taken
care of. That's it. I'm in!"

Like clockwork.

It worked every time.

There was more I included, but to keep
this lesson brief I'll stop there.

I think you get the picture.

Do you see how I asked "What else?" and
then made sure that was provided for
before my prospects even knew my name?

Do you see how much easier it is to
recruit when you proactively think about
what they need BEFORE you even approach
them?

That's how to create an irresistible
offer.

It's about being empathetic and asking
"What else?" but ...

Mr. X, when asking me to join his
business, he wasn't asking just an average
Joe.

He was asking a guy who'd recruited over
3,500+ people and grown teams of 15,000+
in 13 days.

Offering me a co-op isn't addressing the
right "What else?" for me as a prospect.

I point this out to show you that ...

You've got to create the irresistible
"what else?" SPECIFIC to the prospect
for this formula to work, so ...

Don't be lazy.

You've got to think about your prospect
FIRST.

Close your eyes and live a day in their
life.

Then ask ...

"how could I make their life easier"
and include THAT in what you offer.

Monday, June 13, 2011

"If you had to start all over from scratch ?

The question I get asked MOST often is
this ...

"If you had to start all over from
scratch, no products, no downline, no
list.

All you have is a credit card with
a $2,000 limit and you MUST get back
to a six figure income in 90 days or
less or you'll face certain death
what would you do?"

I get asked this so often I chuckle.

If you want to know exactly what a
person who has earned several million,
generated over 500,000 leads, and has
recruited over 4000 would do, if ...

It was ALL taken away and needed urgently
to get back into the six figure income
range within 90 days or something really
bad would go down, then this tip will
be the MOST important message you ever
read.

Pay close attention. It could change
your life over the next 90 days ...

My answer will likely shock you.

Here's what I wouldn't do.

My first move would not be to find the
hottest opportunity on the planet and
tell everyone I know about it.

Nope, it doesn't make any sense.

There's no leverage there, that's like
saying "How can I put myself in a worse
financial situation?"

Home business entrepreneurs get this
wrong all the time.

They focus all their time, effort, and
energy on trying to find the "perfect"
opportunity thinking that's the ultimate
solution.

Thinking ...

If I just get myself into the "right"
opportunity it will sell itself.

No it won't and you'll go broke trying.

Why?

Because making money in your home
business is about THE hardest thing to
do.

It's what I call "anti-leverage."

The money you bring in gets sliced up
into so many different chunks to pay the
company and your 8 levels of upline you
get almost nothing.

The advantage is, when you have 8,000
people below you you've just created a
VERY stable income (as long as the
company doesn't go out of business.)

Which brings up the second point here.

You have no control over a company. Never
fool yourself into thinking you do.

They can change the comp plan or go out
of business and leave you high and dry.

I would NEVER place my financial destiny
on something I don't ultimately control
and neither should you.

There's absolutely no leverage or
control.

I'm after the ultimate unfair advantage
starting from scratch, not digging
myself deeper into a whole.

Remember I've got to get back to six
figures in the next 90 days or I'm in
deep dog poo.

"So it's leverage your after right ? I
know what you'd do. You'd start building
your list wouldn't you?"

Nope.

Although that would be a lot smarter
than the first option because at least
when you have a list full of people who
know and trust you you've got some
leverage, but ...

It's not enough.

It's not going to get me back into the
six figure income range anytime soon,
especially not in 90 days.

If all I have for leverage to start is a
credit card with a $2,000 limited I'd be
lucky to even break even after spending
that money on ads to build my list.

I'd need something better, something
faster, something that gives me a
complete unfair advantage that would
absolutely insure my six figure income
in the next 90 days !

For me , this would be it.....
